DARTMOUTH UTD WIN AXWORTHYS DEVON LEAGUE 09 May 2007
Dartmouth United have won the 2006-07 Axworthys Devon Football League for a record breaking third time. Runners up were Newton Abbot FC who finshed the season 6 points adrift.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN 13 October 2006
Throughout October, as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Axworthys are getting “In the Pink” and raising as much money as possible for people affected by breast cancer.
The Devon based stationery and office Supplies Company are promoting all things pink and will be donating money to the campaign each time a customer purchases any product from their pink range. Also, all customers that spend more than £50 will be entered into a pink raffle; prizes will include; Pink Champagne, Pink Filofax, Pink Laptop Case and many more Pink Products.

CHARITY PRESENTATIONS 06 September 2006
Axworthys Director Tim Cowell presented cheques to both St Luke's (Plymouth) and Rowcroft (Torbay) Hospices for £150, the money was raised by Tim as colleagues, friends and customers sponsored him to run in the Torbay Half Marathon. Pictured: Hayley Dann of St Luke's Hospice recieves their cheque.

ART COMPETITION - WINNERS 13 July 2006
More than 60 artists took part in the first ever Axworthys Art Competition, with a wide variety of styles and mediums used to create an "Impression of Torbay". Professional artists, Penny Robson and Brian Carter assisted Axworthys Managing Director Steve Perry judge the competition. The winning three were all presented with vouchers for Axworthys retail store. Pictured; Edward Girard (2nd Prize-£100), Teresa Bastow (1st Prize-£250) and Gill Geeves (3rd Prize-£50).

CHARITY IS THE WINNER 26 June 2006
We would like to thank all of the customers, suppliers and individuals who generously sponsored Axworthys Marketing Director, Tim Cowell to run in The Torbay Half Marathon. Competing in his first ever event of this nature, Tim completed the 13.1 mile course in 1 hour 57 minutes and raised more than £300 for 2 charities, St Lukes Hospice (Plymouth) and Rowcroft Hospice (Torbay). We are looking to increase our sales force and recruit five experienced sales professionals to further develop our base areas, in the South West, Bristol, South Wales, Cheltenham, Oxford & London.

DEALER OF THE YEAR 2005 24 October 2005
More than 600 people from across the UK office products industry converged on The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London for the BOSS Industry Awards 2005.
Leading lights from every corner of the marketplace attended the glittering event, to see who would take home this year’s coveted trophies. Former MP, writer and raconteur, Gyles Brandreth was host for the evening’s prize giving ceremony which culminated in the Dealer Excellence award which was presented to The Axworthys Group.

AXWORTHYS SUPPLY "THE WORLD" 03 October 2005
The luxury cruise ship The World carries its wealthy residents across the ocean, visiting some of the most exotic locations in the world. This year the ship has visited many beautiful places including Cape Town, Mauritius, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Goa, Bombay, Barcelona and Torquay!
A week before The World docked in Torquay, Axworthys (Head Office) received an e-mail from the ship’s Concierge, requesting we supplied their stationery requirements for the next leg of the journey. Naturally we were delighted to oblige.

The Devon Football League have unveiled The Axworthys Group as the new sponsors. The deal has been agreed for the next two years and will see Axworthys takeover from Firewatch.

AND THE WINNER IS ......... 20 June 2005
Dealer Support magazine (the UK's leading Office Products trade publication) has announced Axworthys as the winner of the 2005 IDS League. The IDS (Independent Dealer Success) League judges companies throughout the UK, on performance, including sales growth, methods & procedures and service levels.
Axworthys Commercial Director, Phil Hardwell commented, " we are delighted to win this award, it is a credit to our staff, who work tirelessly to ensure we are market leaders".
This is the first time Axworthys have won the league, beating Dudley Inkwell into second place and London Graphic Cente into third spot.

AXWORTHYS TEAM CYCLE FROM BRISTOL TO TORQUAY May 2005
A team of novice cyclists from The Axworthys Group, completed a gruelling 106 mile cycle ride in aid of "The William Trust". Directors, Steve Perry and Tim Cowell were joined by Claire Darby in the sponsored event, which was organised to raise money for William Clarke (age 10), who suffered serious injuries when in collision with a car.

PETE WINS HOLIDAY! May 2005
In the first quarter of 2005, Axworthys (South West) recorded record sales, this massive growth period coincided with the introduction of a "Holiday Competition". The sales person with the largest percentage increase in this period, was offered a 4 day break anywhere in Europe.
Exeter based, Territory Manager, Peter Arthur won the competition and will soon be taking his wife to Paris.

In the last 6 months of 2004, sales processed via Axworthys Online Ordering System increased by a staggering 300%.

AXWORTHYS IN NATIONAL AWARDS FINAL September 2004
The Axworthys Group have beaten off strong competition to reach the the finals of the 2004 Industry Awards organised by the British Office Supplies and Services Federation (BOSS). AXWORTHYS HONOURED BY ANTALIS DISPLAY April 2004
The Axworthys Group, were honoured when Europe's largest paper merchant, Antalis selected Axworthys Retail Division to host a joint marketing venture.
Antalis, specialise in the supply and distribution of paper and related products, used Axworthys Paignton Shop for a trial window display and promotional stands. The experiment was a huge success, with Axworthys paper sales increasing by over 50%.

AXWORTHYS OPEN NEW BRANCH IN BRISTOL November 2003
The Axworthys Group have continued their expansion programme with the acquisition of Bristol based Office Product dealers, Avon Business Centre. The new trading name will be ABC Axworthys.
Steve Perry (pictured), Managing Director of The Axworthys Group commented, “We are delighted with this latest deal, it means we now have branches and representation throughout the South West of England & Wales”.
The Axworthys Group now have an estimated Annual turnover in excess of £7 million and employ over 70 staff.

SUCCESS AT SOUTH WEST EXHIBITION October 2003
The Axworthys Group reported a record number of visitors to their stand at the Businesss South West Exhibition, held at Westpoint, Exeter on October 16th & 17th. In excess of 500 companies visited the Axworthys stand, with 60 visitors opening accounts and placing orders over the two days.
Hannah Barnett of Axworthys commented, "The Exhibition was a great success, we not only took orders on the stand, but have made three appointments to Refurbish offices for large organisations".

HANNAH WINS HOLIDAY ! January 2003
The Axworthys Group, recently held a competition amongst their external sales force, looking for the representative that could develop the most “New Business”.
With 12 representatives covering the South of England and Wales, the challenge was set for the person who could attract the most new business to the company. A first prize of a £2000 holiday voucher was the incentive offered to the winner of the competition. The results were judged by turnover, profitability and quantity of new spending customers. The duration of the challenge was 3 months (Oct, Nov & Dec 2002), with the winners announced at a sales meeting early in January.
Hannah Barnett, the Territory Manager for Cornwall & Plymouth won first prize and is planning a vacation of a lifetime to Thailand. The runners-up were Jamie McIntyre (Oxford) and Frazer Hopper (London).
All of the sales people enjoyed considerable success during the campaign, with a total of more than 200 new customers brought on board, generating in excess of £30,000 worth of new business during the period.

AXWORTHYS WIN GOLD IN NATIONAL COMPETITION November 2002
The Axworthys Group have won the prestigious “Gold Dealer of The Year” award presented by Spicers Limited, the UK’s largest stationery wholesaler. The award was presented by TV personality, Martin Lewis to Axworthys Commercial Director, Phil Hardwell at a Charity Gala Dinner held at the National Convention Centre in Birmingham.
The prestigious award is open to all Office Products dealers in the UK and is judged on a number of criteria including Customer Service Levels, Growth of Business, Marketing & Communication and I.T. Development.
